Book Review ✌️

So I’m reading a book called, The Technology World War II by Sean Sheehan, and so far it is about the technology usage during the battles that occurred during World War 2. There were weapons like Atom Bombs (Most of them were bombs), and the book not only taught me about the technology in the war, it also taught me some valuable information that I didn’t know such as Einstein writing a letter to the U.S, warning them about the dangers of Hitler. I also learned that Einstein is in fact Jewish. Which brings me to why the title, “Technology and People.” relates to the book. Well first of all, the title is in the book so that obviously relates to the book by it being one of the topics... BUT! It also is the title to the paragraphs that’s are written to be about Technology, like what the whole book is about.

Now there is a specific passage that I thought to be interesting, and I did mention it before but I would like to state it right out of the book. The passage that I wanted to state is on a certain topic called, Jewish Scientists and the paragraph to that topic is basically about how Adolf Hitler was using  scientific technology like bombs for his weapons which led a lot of Jewish people to flee out of Europe in 1933. There was a Hungarian physicist man named, Leo Szilard, that was working in early Nazi Germany at the time, and also left Europe to go to the U.S. But what for? Only to campaign to alert the U.S on what unspeakable crimes that Adolf Hitler was doing. But Szilard did not do this on his own, “...He contacted Albert Einstein, the world-famous physicist, who then wrote to the president of the United States warning of the danger of Nazi nuclear science. Einstein was himself Jewish and had also fled Nazi Germany out of fear of persecution.” I think this is really interesting because once again, I had no idea Einstein was related to World War 2. I also didn’t know he played a big role either.

I have to admit... Topics, like the ones I have listed from above, are the type of topics I could never forget because this is really fascinating to me and I truly am intrigued in the book I am reading. I’m especially excited for the new information, I haven’t known already, that comes next.
